New Products & Services Info-Tech - Telecommunications Nokia launches E90 in India
Biz phone: Mr G.K. Chakrapani, Country General Manager, Nokia Enterprise, at the launch of Nokia E90 Communicator in New Delhi on Thursday. —
Our Bureau New Delhi, June 28 After almost ten years of launching its first communicator, Nokia on Thursday announced the launch of the eleventh upgrade in that series — the E90. With E90, Nokia is hoping to change the way business executives communicate by offering one of the fastest processors and one of the largest operating memory (128 Mb RAM) currently used in any Symbian based operating system smart phones. “We are really excited with this product because we have not launched or seen anything like the E90 before. The Nokia E90 Communicator is the complete device to enhance productivity and improve business communication with convenient email access, Web browsing and maps application for location-based services,” said Mr Chakrapani GK, Country General Manager, Nokia Enterprise Solutions. Nokia E90 Communicator has two cameras — a 3.2 mega-pixel camera with flash and auto-focus for taking photographs, and another camera for video conferencing. It also has active notes that can be tagged to an individual’s name, helping as a reminder when talking to that person. Nokia E90 also allows users to view, open, and edit email attachments with Quickoffice (documents, spreadsheets, and presentations) and offers Zip Manager and Adobe Acrobat Reader. Decisions ‘on the go’
“The launch of Nokia E90 Communicator is the tipping point for business mobility in India. Business mobility has emerged as the biggest reason for enterprises to go mobile as over 60 per cent of business-critical decisions are taken ‘on the go’. “With the launch of Nokia E90, we are bringing an all together new and expanded view of business mobility to the market place as well as a culmination of the 3Ps — power, performance, productivity,” said Mr Chakrapani. The Nokia E90 also has an integrated GPS and Nokia Maps application to help find routes and locate services. For increased personal convenience, the device is equipped with an FM radio, a music player and a video player.
