Our Bureau

Kolkata, June 28 The All India State Bank of India Staff Federation has decided to organise a country-wide tiffin-time demonstration on June 29 near all branches and offices of the bank, protesting against the Government’s reported takeover of ownership of SBI from the Reserve Bank of India.

The Government’s move, the State Bank of India Staff Association has mentioned in a press release, will pave the way for reduction of share of state ownership (59.73 per cent) to 51 per cent. It will also raise the share of ownership of foreign investors.
