Mumbai, June 28 Citifinancial Consumer Finance India Ltd (CCFIL) has reported a net profit of Rs 218 crore for the fiscal ending March 2007, a growth of 27.4 per cent against Rs 171 crore in the previous year, according to provisional numbers from ICRA.

The company’s asset base stands at Rs 10,51 crore, against Rs 6,871 crore in the year ago period.

As per provisional numbers, the profitability of the company declined to 2.56 per cent from 3.10 per cent in 2005-06.

According to ICRA, the decline in profitability can be attributed to rise in the cost of funds and write offs.
