A fire brigade personnel asking the Jay Shree Tea and Industries Chairman, Mr B.K. Birla (standing right), and other directors to hold the meeting a little away from the main gate of Kalamandir in Kolkata on Thursday. The venue of the board meeting and the subsequent annual general meeting of the company had to be shifted from within the premises of the building because of a fire that broke out in the underground annexe. The BK Birla group company said it was in talks with retail majors to sell branded packaged tea through their outlets. —
