Mahalaxmi Rubtech net up

Ahmedabad, July 2 With the earnings from sales and the net profit of Mahalaxmi Rubtech Ltd more than doubling in the fiscal year 2006-07, the company’s board has recommended a dividend of Rs 0.50 paise per share (5 per cent).

According to audited financial results released here by the company today, the revenue at Rs 10.01 crore for the year ended March 31, 2007 was 143.4 per cent over the revenue of Rs 4.11 crore in 2005-06.

This performance has boosted net profit after tax of Rs 86 lakh during the period under review compared with Rs 38 lakh for last year, an increase of 126.31 per cent. The performance has been contributed by textiles, its new business activity generating revenue of Rs 5.34 crore.

The company’s other business activity – rubber products – turned out a steady performance generating revenue of Rs 4.78 crore for the fiscal 2007 as against Rs 4.09 crore during 2005-06.
