Packaging Bilcare net up 56% at Rs 21.42 crore
Our Bureau Pune, July 3 Bilcare Ltd, player in pharma packaging research and service provider to the pharma companies from drug discovery to market, has recorded 27 per cent increase in net sales at Rs 88.63 crore for the quarter ended March 2007 compared with Rs 69.76 crore posted during the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Earnings before interest, depreciation, tax and amortisation (EBIDTA) of the company increased by 91 per cent at Rs 39.73 crore (Rs 20.74 crore). Profit after tax (PAT) for the fourth quarter touched Rs 21.42 crore (Rs 13.70 crore), registering a growth of 56 per cent. For the year ended 2007, its net sales increased by 35 per cent at Rs 322.98 crore (Rs 238.69 crore). EBIDTA for the year stood at Rs 108.49 crore (Rs 69.15 crore), up by 57 per cent. Net Profit (PAT) for the year increased by 47 per cent at Rs 58.56 crore (Rs 39.77 crore) Earnings per share (EPS) for the year went up by 45 per cent at Rs 41.24 (Rs 28.39), significantly impacting valuation of the company. Bilcare has also acquired DHP Ltd, a UK-based Clinical Trials Services provider.
