Tricom India net up

Mumbai, July 3

Mumbai-based BPO firm Tricom India Ltd has posted a 188.4 per cent rise in net profit for the quarter ended March 31, at Rs 3.26 crore as against Rs 1.13 crore recorded in the same year-ago quarter. The company's total income was up by 149.1 per cent to Rs 8.32 crore (Rs 3.34 crore).

For the year ended March 2007, Tricom's net profit was up by around 62.78 per cent to Rs 14.4 crore from Rs 8.84 crore recorded in the same year-ago period. Net income for the year stood at Rs 33.45 crore (Rs 24.78 crore). The company has declared a dividend of Rs 2.1 per equity share, said a release.

On Tuesday, the company's scrip gained marginally to Rs 96.30 against the previous close of Rs 95.60 on the BSE. - Our Bureau
