To gain more: A street vendor selling grapes in Kochi, Kerala. A new web- based software “Grapenet” developed by the Agriculture and Processed Food Products’ Export Development Authority has been launched to trace grapes exported to the European Union. This has helped farmers earn 40 per cent more value for their produce. Export value realisation for grapes has gone up from €8 to €11.5 for a carton of 3 kg in 2006-07 fiscal. The country exported €40 million worth of table grapes in 2005-06 fiscal. —
