Our Bureau

Hyderabad, July 4 Four alumni of the Indian School of Business have developed Taxyantra.com, a portal that helps people file their income-tax returns.

The promoters of the portal represented by Mr Sunil Lingareddy felt that they would be able to provide a user-friendly experience. The portal enables people to file IT returns from anywhere in the world, including people residing in the US and UK.

This would help people bypass the need to go through a consultant or even avoid standing in queue to file their IT returns.

The Director of Taxyantra.com, Mr Nitin Vyakaranam, said that a registered user who wants to file returns all by himself has to pay Rs 100 as fee and those who prefer the portal to handle the filing of returns would need to pay Rs 250.” The Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Andhra Pradesh, Mr D.V. Dharmik, said the launch of a simple and user- friendly online tax filing site is welcome.

This will help in educating tax payers in respect of filing procedures and answering simple queries.
