Minister on the move

Back to Kamal Nath. Colleagues in the capital marvel at the way the Minister absorbs jet lag as he is spotted in Delhi in the evening but heard the next afternoon from Europe! Similarly, even before reports of his meetings in the US make it to the local newspapers, the Minister is back in the capital for another press conference.

In fact, Kamal Nath is probably the most travelled Minister in the present Government, beating hollow External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee, who should be travelling to various capitals as part of his job.

Incidentally, the EAM is now abroad on one of his rare visits, but not to any exotic locale. Last heard, he was in an African country, widely known for extreme poverty and devastation.
