Kolkata boy bags award for radio frequency study

Kolkata, July 6 Kolkata boy Pattabhiraman Krishna, a student of Assemby of God Church School and Regional Engineering College, Rourkela, has done the city proud by bagging the GSI EPCglobal’s Software Action Group “Person of the Year” Award in the US recently.

Chief Systems Architect at Reva Systems, Dr Krishna received the award for his contributions to Radio Frequency Identification Standards Development (RFID), which pave the way for broad RFID adoption. According to an official release by Reva Systems, Dr Krishna, as the LLRP (Low Level Reader Protocol) Document Editor, was the key contributor of ideas and functions embodied in the LLRP specification.

According to Mr Ashley Stephenson, Chairman of Reva Systems, the LLRP standard was currently being implemented by Reader manufacturers around the globe.
