Xenitis Infotech plans IPO

Our Bureau

Kolkata, July 9 Xenitis Infotech, indigenous manufacturer of computer components and branded PCs, is firming up plans to come out with an initial public offering (IPO) in the current year.

“A decision in this regard will be taken by August this year,” Mr Santanu Ghosh, Chairman of the Xenitis Group, told newspersons here. He said 30 per cent of the company’s equity would be diluted.

The size of the proposed IPO had been pegged at Rs 200 crore. Proceeds from the issue would go towards augmenting the capacity of the company’s manufacturing facility that is located at Chinsura in Hooghly district of West Bengal.

The group has already pumped in Rs 150 crore in Xenitis Infotech, which has a capacity to manufacture two lakh PC components every month. This would double by March 2008, he said.
