AP allots 100 tonnes palm oil for PDS

Hyderabad, July 9 The Civil Supplies Department of Andhra Pradesh has decided to release 100 tonnes of palm oil for distribution at Rs 46.50 a kg through the PDSand rythu bazaars. This followed a directive by the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, on containing the prices of essential commodities. The department is also procuring onions from Maharashtra. “We will sell onions at Rs 7 a kg,” Mr G.N. Rao, Commissioner of Civil Supplies, said.
