Airlines Marketing - Strategy In-flight entertainment on Indian from today
Our Bureau New Delhi, July 11 Flying with the state-owned airline, Indian in the domestic skies is set to change from tomorrow. From July 12, passengers flying on the Delhi-Mumbai-Thiruvananthapuram sector would be able to enjoy the Hindi blockbuster Guru, the Hollywood movie Music and Lyrics or a regional film in four l anguages, including Tamil and Malyalam, all in the comfort of their seat. The airline is deploying the first of the 43 aircraft it has purchased from Airbus that comes equipped with in-flight entertainment system. The aircraft offer movies, television programmes and also a moving map that would give the exact position of the aircraft on a television screen fitted on the head rest of the seat in front in economy and in the arm rest in business class. In addition passengers would also be able to access a variety of music channels. The airline plans to offer the facility in a phased manner throughout its network as more aircraft join the fleet.
