As per the agreement, the Rubber Technology Centre of IIT, Kharagpur, will mount the technical programme of the conference and a rubber quiz. According to senior AIRIA officials, the institute will also be responsible for developing the conference material.

It is learnt that technical and research from a number of rubber experts around the world would be presented at the conference. Commenting on the tie-up, Mr K.T. Thomas, President, AIRIA, said “IIT Kharagpur is one of the premier institutions of the country and has played a very crucial role in broadening of the technological capabilities. We are certain that given their technical expertise, this association will bring immense value to IRE 2009”.
