Mangalore varsity ties up with Texas

Mangalore University has decided to start MSc in Radiation Physics under a twinning programme with Texas A&M University, Texas.

Addressing presspersons here on Thursday, Prof K.M. Kaveriappa, Vice-Chancellor of Mangalore University, said that MoU with the Texas A&M University is being finalised in connection with the postgraduate course in Radiation Physics to have mutual collaboration in academic activities.

Meeting demand

Under this, the candidates who complete MSc (Radiation Physics) would be eligible to get admission directly to the third year programme of MS (Nuclear Engineering) at Texas A&M University. MSc (Radiation Physics) is a two-year programme in Mangalore University, and MS (Nuclear Engineering) is of a three-year course at Texas A&M University.

With this twinning programme, the candidates will get two post-graduate degrees in three years.
