Dena Bank pays dividend to Govt

New Delhi, July 12

Dena Bank has paid a dividend of Rs 11.74 crore to the Government. The Chairman and Managing Director of the bank, Mr P.L. Gairola, handed over the dividend cheque to the Finance Minister, Mr P. Chidambaram. The bank has posted a net profit of Rs 201.56 crore in 2006-07 against Rs 72.99 crore in the previous year, registering an increase of 176 per cent. —
