I-T Ombudsman in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, July 15 To facilitate easy redressal of grievances, the office of Income Tax Ombudsman started its operations from Ayakar Bhavan here. Complaints can be filed with the Ombudsman if deficiency is found in the services offered by the Income Tax department. The petitioner should, before making a complaint to the Ombudsman, make a written representation to the Income Tax Authority superior to the one complained against. If such authority rejects the complaint or the complainant does not receive any reply within a period of one month from such authority, then a complaint may be filed with the Ombudsman, according to a release. -
