Emirates names V-P for India

Mumbai, July 18

Emirates, the Dubai-based airline, has appointed Mr Orhan Abbas as its new Vice-President for India and Nepal. Mr Abbas succeeds Mr Salem Obaidalla who would now be taking charge as the Vice-President of the airline’s commercial operations of West Asia and Indian Ocean in Dubai. Prior to his position in India, Mr Orhan held a number of senior commercial positions for Emirates in Tanzania, Iran and South Africa. He will oversee Emirates’ expansion campaign in In dia as well as its day-to-operations, a release said. —
