SEZ: L&T Arun Excello to start work next month


Project details

Construction is expected to start in August and the project would be in place in 18 months with the phase one consisting of a 3.3-lakh sq ft signature tower and two built to suit blocks of 4.50 lakh sq ft.

The second phase would be started as the first one nears completion.

Chennai, July 19 L&T Arun Excello Infrastructure Pvt Ltd will start work on the Rs 600-crore Estancia IT SEZ at the Estancia integrated township to the south of Chennai next month.

L&T Urban Infrastructure Ltd, a subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro Ltd, and Arun Excello, a Chennai-based developer, are jointly promoting the Rs 1,500-crore integrated township at Maraimalai Nagar on NH45.

The integrated township envisages over 2,000 apartments, an IT SEZ and commercial and retail complexes.

According to Mr K. Venkatesh, Executive Vice-President, Development Projects Business, Larsen & Toubro Ltd, the total built-up area would about 27-lakh sq ft spread over eight blocks each of 2.5-4.5 lakh sq ft.

Construction is expected to start in August and the project would be in place in 18 months with the phase one consisting of a 3.3-lakh sq ft signature tower and two built to suit blocks of 4.50 lakh sq ft. The second phase would be started as the first one nears completion.

According to Mr P. Suresh, Managing Director, Arun Excello, work on the residential segment is expected to start in 2-3 weeks.

Over 652 apartments are planned in the first phase and bookings were opened for 400.

More than 300 apartments have been booked with the pricing at about Rs 3,150 a sq ft.
