Financial Performance Corporate Results - Software Tech Mahindra net profit up 59.7%
Mumbai, July 19 Pune-based Tech Mahindra Ltd has said its consolidated net profit for the first quarter ended June 2007 rose 59.7 per cent to Rs 170.3 crore compared with Rs 106.6 crore a year earlier. Revenue for the quarter rose by 49.25 per cent to Rs 876.3 crore from Rs 587.1 crore. The company added four new clients in the quarter, said a statement. On a sequential basis, revenues from British Telecom, Tech Mahindra`s major client, decreased to 64 per cent from 67 per cent of total revenue. The company derived 74 per cent of its revenues for the first quarter from Europe, while the US accounted for about 19 per cent . The Tech Mahindra scrip was down by 1.07 per cent to close at Rs 1479.45 on the BSE today. — Our Bureau
