Aurobindo gets FDA nod

Aurobindo Pharma Ltd has announced that the company has received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for Amlodipine Besylate tablets 2.5 mg, 5 mg & 10 mg. This is the Hyderabad-based pharma major’s fifth anti-hypertensive approval from the USFDA. Amlodipine Besylate tablets 2.5 mg, 5 mg & 10 mg are the generic equivalent of Pfizer’s Norvasc. The tablets are indicated for the treatment of hypertension. The brand product has approxim ately annual sales of $2.8 billion. – Our Bureau
