Rajesh Exports has been accorded the status of a nominated agency for import of gold for domestic consumption. It can now import gold directly, on its own. Till recently, only certain banks and few public sector units were accorded this status. All gold imports are only through these nominated agencies. According to the company, this nomination will help it in its retail venture through its Laabh Jewellers and Shubh Jewellers brands. It will also save costs as it will not have to pay commission to nominated agencies.
