Performance LG Electronics turnover rises 20% in first half
Our Bureau New Delhi, July 21 LG Electronics India Pvt Ltd has reported 20 per cent growth in its turnover at Rs 5,000 crore during the first half of the current fiscal 2007. The company has posted a turnover of Rs 4,500 crore from sales in the domestic market in H1 2007, while recording 50 per cent growth in its exports over the same period of the previous year. Exports touched the Rs 500-crore mark during the first half of 2007 compared with Rs 330 crore posted during the corresponding period of the previous year. Portfolio Expansion
According to a company release, Mr Moon B. Shin, President, South West Asia, LGE and Managing Director, LGEIL, said: “We have already attained Rs 5,000 crore in January-June 2007, and I am confident that we will be able to meet our target of Rs 9,500 crore by the year end. We attribute this successful first half to our strategic product portfolio expansion, innovative marketing strategies and technology leadership. Our focused customer and dealer relationship programmes have also helped us to achieve double digit growth.” LG’s consumer electronic segment grew by 13 per cent to Rs 1,500 crore (Rs 1,300 crore).
