Tamilnad Mercantile Bank opens branch in Bhilwara

Madurai, July 22

Tuticorin-based Tamilnad Mercantile Bank (TMB) has opened its 185th branch at Bhilwara, Rajasthan.

While Mr Ram Pal Soni, Chairman, Sangam Group of Industries, Bhilwara, inaugurated the fully computerised and networked CBS branch that offers anywhere banking facility, Mr Subhash C. Baheria, Managing Director, Swastik Goup of Industries, lit the traditional lamp.

Mr M.G.M. Maran, Chairman, and Mr B. Ramachandra Adityan, Director of TMB, were present.

Mr G. Narayana Moorthy, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of TMB, in his speech on the occasion, said that the Reserve Bank had given licence to open 21 new branches. While the branches have already been opened at Perundurai, Bodi, Paramakudi, Viruthachalam, Aranthangi, Surandai and Bhilwara, 12 more branches would be coming up in Tamil Nadu and one each in Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh, he said.
