Strategy Fresh Choice Bakery plans Karnataka, TN foray
Naga Sridhar Hyderabad, July 24 Fresh Choice Bakery chain, promoted by Hyderabad-based Sai Aditya Foods and Retail Private Ltd, is planning to foray into Karnataka and Tamil Nadu . “In view of the good response, we want to add at lease 30-40 outlets every year,” Mr K.V. Vishnu Raju, Director of Sai Aditya Foods and Retail, told Business line here. At present, the chain has 12 outlets in Andhra Pradesh. “We want to supply our products to the popular retail chains and also expand our own outlets. We are already supplying to all the Reliance outlets in Vijayawada, Guntur and Vizag,” Mr Raju said. The chain is also planning to foray into other States soon. “Some local bakery chains such as Daily Bread in Bangalore are doing well and we will be expanding to Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.” Soon, outlets would be launched in Narketpally (near Hyderabad), Tiruchi, Hubli and Belgaum. “We see lot of business opportunity in coastal town in Andhra Pradesh. Plans are afoot to enter tier-II cities in coastal areas.” Mr Raju said the margins were very good in the bakery segment. “For us, every shop is viable. Our model is to set up a manufacturing unit so as to service outlets located in a 50-km radius.” Aditya Foods is operating three manufacturing units. It is planning two types of outlets – a large one with 50 seats and a smaller one with10-20 seats. “Our target is to build a pan-South India brand,” Mr Raju said.
