FII equity investments cross $10b

Mumbai, July 24 The India growth story is intact and showing. Foreign institutional investors investments have crossed $10 billion in the equity markets in 2007, as per the data available on SEBI Web site. Their net investments currently stands at $10.17 billion.

Interestingly, more than half of the net investments for the year have come in the month of July; the net investments in July stand at $5.829 billion. Their debt investment is close to $2 billion.

Analysts said the large amount has entered in the backdrop of rising equity markets daily and a flurry of big initial public offerings.
