New Products & Services States - Kerala Samsung India launches new flat CTVs in Kochi
Our Bureau Kochi, July 24 Samsung India on Tuesday announced the launch of its new 2007 range of flat colour TV in the country at Kochi, to coincide with the Onam festival season in Kerala. Unveiling the products, Mr R. Zutshi, Deputy Managing Director, said that the company has introduced three ultra slim fit models, two slim fit models and two flat TV models in the new flat TV line up. The company expects to sell around two million TVs in the country this year and is aiming to garner a market share of 50 per cent in the slim TV, 50 per cent share in LCD TV and 25 per cent share in the overall flat TV market in the country. He said that the new 2007 flat TV series performance is enhanced with the easy view technology. He said the market is gradually shifting to flat TV. Referring to the Onam sale in Kerala, Mr Zutshi said that the company is expecting a business of Rs 80 crore during the July – September period and this would imply a growth of over 60 per cent sales in the corresponding period in the previous year. The company has set a target of selling 50,000 TVs in the State during the period. He said the company plans to carry out 14 Dream Home road shows in the second half and also plans to set up two more Samsung Brand Shops in the State.
