Outlook States - Kerala LG targets Rs 400-cr turnover in Kerala

Kochi, July 24 LG Electronics India Pvt Ltd is targeting a sales turnover of Rs 400 crore from the Kerala market during the current fiscal against Rs 300 crore achieved in 2006-07. Unveiling the Onam promotional offer of the company here on Tuesday, Mr Girish V Rao, Vice President (Sales), said the company is targeting sales of 1.75 lakh units in the festive season and expecting a growth of 30 per cent in the State. The total sales turnover target is pegged at Rs150 crore for the season from Kerala through the launch of a slew of promotional offers, he said. Kerala has always been a priority State for LG and the launch of this new offer is an endeavour on our part to strengthen our relationship with our customers here, and make the festive season more cheerful and rewarding for them, he said. It has also roped in Malayalam film actors Mamta and Prithviraj as brand endorsers for Kerala during the Onam festival season. LG Customers will not only get a chance to meet them at selected LG outlets but also a few lucky ones should win an opportunity to dine with them. The company, which is aiming for an overall turnover of Rs 9,500 crore this fiscal, also introduced LC4 and LC7 series of LCD televisions in the high-end segment here. Mr Prashant K.Das, Regional Manager (South), said its rate of growth for high-end products in Kerala is 25 per cent.
