Britannia registers 20% growth

Bangalore, July 24 Britannia Industries Ltd has reported a 20 per cent growth in net profit for the first quarter ended June 30 at Rs 36.1 crore. Its sales grew 19 per cent at Rs 576.9 crore, “after absorbing continuing inflation in key commodities”.

Ms Vinita Bali, Managing Director, said: “Having accelerated the growth momentum over the past several quarters, the company is now focusing on strengthening the shape of its business and leveraging synergy benefits of recent acquisitions.”
