Lakshmi Caipo slub yarn systems launched

Coimbatore, July 25 The city-based Lakshmi Caipo Industries, the joint venture between Lakshmi Ring Travellers (Coimbatore) Ltd (LRT) and the Italy’s Caipo Automazione Industriale SRL to manufacture the slub and core yarn manufacturing systems in India, has officially started marketing the new systems.

At a formal function to mark the product launch held here today, the first order for the Lakshmi Caipo’s slub attachment was placed by Parani Spinning Mills from Dindigul.

World Leader

Among those present at the launch ceremony were Ms Uttara Ravi, Managing Director of LRT, Mr Ravi Sam, Managing Director, Adwaith Lakshmi Industries Ltd (an LMW group company) and Mr Francesco Campigli, Sales Director of Caipo, Italy.

Lakshmi Caipo would focus on manufacture of slub yarn machinery attachment for production of slub, multi-count and multitwist yarn on ring frames and on open end machines.

The machinery to be produced by the joint venture would include the attachment for production of stretching and core yarns and the software for simulation of slub yarn/fabric or knitting with slub/multicount/multitwist .

A part of the LMW group, LRT is the largest manufacturer of ring travellers, spinning machinery accessory, which are used in over 35 countries and Caipo from Italy is a world leader in the manufacture of slub yarn devices having the largest installations of slub yarn machinery in the world and it has its production plant in Biella in Italy.
