Kolkata, July 25 According to unaudited financial results for the three months ended June 30, approved by the board of directors on Wednesday, Berger Paints India Ltd posted 16 per cent growth in profit after tax at Rs 19.9 crore (Rs 17.2 crore) on 18 per cent rise in sales turnover at Rs 344 crore (Rs 291 crore), says a company press release.

The company’s subsidiary in Russia, Berger Paints Overseas Ltd, has commenced commercial production and the work on the dedicated automotive paints plant in Jejun industrial area near Pune is on track. BNB Coatings India Ltd, the company’s joint venture with Nippon Bee Chemical Co Ltd of Japan, has been formed.
