IIM Bangalore to host BarCamp

Bangalore, July 25

Over 700 speakers will converge at IIM's Bangalore campus this weekend for Bangalore BarCamp, an informal assembly of techies. BarCamp Bangalore is an ad-hoc gathering born out of the desire of people to meet up, share and exchange ideas and possibilities in an open environment. It will feature discussions, demos and interaction from participants.

Popular topics on the Internet and mobile industry, as well as new ones such as python, blogging, photography, society, start-ups will be discussed at the Barcamp. This Barcamp is being supported by the Directi group. BarCamps are organised and evangelised largely through the Web by a community driven, collective organisational process using a wiki as a tool. A BarCamp consists of sessions proposed and scheduled each day by attendees, mostly on-site and `on the ?y', using white boards or paper taped to the wall. - Our Bureau
