Special arrangements for I-T returns

New Delhi, July 26

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has directed the income-tax offices across the country to make special arrangements to receive income-tax returns from July 25 to July 31. A statement said that income-tax offices would remain open on July 28 and July 29 (Saturday and Sunday) to facilitate filing of returns. Additional return receipt counters will be set up in the income-tax offices, including help desks, to assist taxpayers. —
