3i Info consolidated net up 84%

Our Bureau

Mumbai, July 26 3i Infotech has recorded a 83.6-per cent rise in consolidated net profit for the June quarter at Rs 39.2 crore from Rs 21.35 crore reported in the corresponding quarter a year ago. Revenues almost doubled to Rs 264.17 crore (Rs 133.21 crore).

“As we derive only about 25 per cent of our revenues in dollar terms (from North America), the rising rupee did not have a major impact on our revenues,” Mr Amar Chintopanth, Chief Financial Officer, told Business Line. The company derives more than 45 per cent of its revenues from India and the Asia-pacific region, added Mr Chintopanth. On a year-on-year basis, gross profit from 3i`s products division grew 103 per cent to Rs 66.94 crore (Rs 32.96 crore).

The 3i Infotech stock was up 5.47 per cent to close at Rs 360.8 on the BSE today.
