Sunil Mittal donates Rs 4 cr

New Delhi, July 26

In response to the call made by the Prime Minister to industry captains to moderate their compensation and participate in community programs, Mr Sunil Bharti Mittal, Chairman and Managing Director, Bharti Airtel Ltd, has decided to donate a significant part of his salary bonus (nearly Rs 4 crore) towards education of underprivileged children in villages.

According to Mr Mittal, "This underlines corporate India's commitment towards fulfilling the Government's vision of inclusive growth. Corporate India will continue to work with the Government and voluntarily contribute towards this cause." The donation will be administered by Bharti Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of Bharti Enterprises.
