Godrej eyes Rs 75-cr sales in current fiscal

Kochi, July 26 Godrej Appliances, one of the leading players in the home appliance industry, has set a sales target of Rs 75 crore from Kerala during the current financial year.

Of this, Rs 40 crore will be generated from the Onam sales alone, Mr George Menezes, COO, said at a press meet.

The company has come out with a ‘Swarna Agosham Scheme’ for the Onam festival period on its appliance range such as refrigerators, air-conditioners, washing machines and microwave oven.

Consumers can win up to 10 gm of gold and the minimum assured gift is a cash prize of Rs 100, he said.

The company plans to increase its thrust on EON range of refrigerators, air-conditioners and microwave ovens across Kerala where it sees huge potential.

Mr Kamal Nandi, Vice-President (Sales and Marketing), said that the company registered a growth of 61 per cent in volume terms in AC segment between January to June this year over the corresponding period last year.

Likewise, it posted a growth of 61 per cent in microwave ovens segment.
