Global Hospitals launching Bangalore unit

Bangalore, July 26 BGS Global Hospital, the 500-bed Bangalore venture of the Global Hospitals, is opening next month and will offer a specialised liver transplant facility, officials said here.

The Rs 150-crore greenfield superspecialty and organ transplant hospital is located on 50 acres of land off Mysore Road. The BGS Trust is the majority partner in the Hyderabad-based healthcare group.

This would be Global’s fifth hospital and will cover eight districts around the city, Dr K.Ravindranath, CMD, Global Hospitals, said.

he Bangalore campus is part of the group’s Rs 1,000-crore expansion plan including a Rs 257-crore acquisition in Chennai. Of this, Rs 700 crore would be invested in the next two years in new hospitals in Mumbai and Kolkata.
