New Products & Services States - Tamil Nadu V-Kool unveils sun-control films range
Our Bureau Chennai, July 26 V-Kool Films (India) Pvt Ltd has launched a range of sun-control films in the Tamil Nadu market. The range include two brands — V-Kool for automotives, and IQue for residential and commercial buildings. Mr K.S. Sahni, Chairman and Managing Director, V-Kool Films, announced that it has appointed Trans Car India as the exclusive dealer for the region. According to him, the sun-control film, apart from protecting cars from glaring sunlight and optimising the ACs performance, also reduces infra red rays by over 90 per cent and provides occupants with a sun protection. The film, used in buildings, prevents the fading and degradation of carpets, curtains and upholstery. The technology is based on infrared reflecting composites of silver and indium oxide, which are thinly layered on a transparent film, said Mr K.S.M. Musaddique, Managing Director, Trans Car India Pvt Ltd. The V-Kool brand has a customer base of 7.4 million across the world. With the launch, now it has a pan-India presence. Mr Sahni estimates the size of the market for sun control films at about Rs 100 crore, 20 per cent of which is met by the organised sector
