Andhra Bank ATM inaugurated

Visakhapatnam, July 27

An on-site ATM of Andhra Bank was inaugurated at the bank branch in the engineering college of Andhra University on Friday by the Chairman and Managing Director, Mr K. Ramakrishnan. With the inauguration, the number of ATMs rose to 22 in city and the total ATMs of the bank to 546. He also distributed letters of sanction of education loans to the extent of Rs 2.82 crore. He said on the occasion that the bank was giving education loans very liberally and the students should make the best use of it. He said the outstanding amount on the head (education loans) was at present Rs 1,500 crore and the bank would disburse Rs 300 crore more during the current year. Mr Ramakrishnan said the bank would set up a financial literacy centre and credit counselling centre for farmers in Srikakulam district.
