Health States - Andhra Pradesh AP links 3 health schemes
Our Bureau Hyderabad, July 30 The Andhra Pradesh Government is set to launch Rajiv Arogyasri, an integrated health mission that seeks to converge three independent health and insurance schemes. This integrated scheme would be assisted by a global board comprising Satyam Foundation, Indian School of Business, McKinsey and Prof C.K. Prahlad among others. The State Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, announced that three ongoing schemes — health emergency transport, treatment and insurance (Emergency Management and Research Institute), Health Insurance Scheme for Poor (Arogyasri) and National Health Mission — would be integrated to create Rajiv Arogyasri. It is estimated to be a Rs 1,000-crore programme to start with, according to Mr B. Ramalinga Raju, Chairman of Satyam Computer Services Ltd.
