New Delhi, July 31 As the luxury car market continues to show robust growth, BMW India has lined up a series of launches to widen its product portfolio for the Indian market.

The company, on Tuesday, announced the launch of its 5 series sedan. While its diesel version of X5 is slated to be launched by the end of this year, it plans to introduce X3 and M series next year. “We plan to launch X3 in July and M series early next year,” Mr Peter Kronschnabl, President, BMW India, told Business Line.

He said that in the current calendar year the company had sold 424 units of which more than 300 included 3 series and the remaining were 7 series.

Considering the order intake, Mr Kronschnabl said that he had revised the annual sales target to 1,200 units from the earlier 1,000 units. BMW announced the launch of its sedan 5 Series from August with prices ranging from Rs 37 lakh - Rs 45 lakh (ex-showroom).
