Dhanalakshmi Bank net jumps 98%

Kochi, Aug. 1 Net profit of Dhanalakshmi Bank has grown by 98 per cent to Rs 6.05 crore during the first quarter of the current fiscal, from Rs 3.06 crore in the same quarter of the last fiscal. Profit before tax surged by 210 per cent to Rs 9.63 crore (Rs 3.1 crore).

Total income grew by 40 per cent to Rs 83.12 crore (Rs 59.23 crore). Non-interest income went up by 20.4 per cent to Rs 6.06 crore (Rs 5.03 crore).

Total deposits increased by 23.61 per cent to Rs 3,194 crore (Rs 2,584 crore), while the total advances moved up by 15.29 per cent to Rs 1,922 crore (Rs 1,667 crore).

Focused efforts were made in recovering NPAs resulting in reduction of gross NPA to 4.96 per cent from 6.65 per cent last year and net NPA falling to 1.59 per cent from 2.65 per cent, a press release issued here said.
