Private Banks Money & Banking - Financial Performance Lakshmi Vilas Bank net up 20%
Coimbatore, Aug. 1 Net profit of Lakshmi Vilas Bank for the quarter ended June 2007 stood at Rs 15.09 crore, a 20 per cent growth over the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. Its total income grew 30 per cent to Rs 136.32 crore (Rs 104.51 crore). Interest on advances increased by 31 per cent to Rs 89.61 crore (Rs 68.32 crore), while other income doubled to Rs 16.9 crore (Rs 8.22 crore). The bank is targeting a business volume of Rs 11,000 crore this fiscal. Its deposits increased to Rs 4,657.37 crore (as on June 30, 2007) from Rs 4,566.75 crore and credit portfolio expanded to Rs 3,274.05 crore (Rs 3,094.19 cr), totalling a business volume of Rs 7,932.42 crore. — Our Bureau
