Union Bank trims FCNR (B), NRE deposit rates

Mumbai, Aug. 1 Union Bank of India has slashed the interest rates on FCNR (B) and NRE (rupee) term deposits effective August 1.

In the case of FCNR (B) deposits, the interest rates on dollar deposits of various tenures are: one to less than two years 4.5 per cent (4.68 per cent), two to three years 4.42 per cent (4.68 per cent), three to four years 4.46 per cent (4.71 per cent), four to five years 4.54 per cent (4.75 per cent) and for five years only 4.61 per cent (4.79 per cent).

For NRE deposits, the interest rates are: one to less than two years 5.25 per cent (5.43 per cent), two to three years 5.17 per cent (5.43 per cent) and three to four years 5.21 per cent (5.46 per cent).
