Our Bureau Mumbai, August 1 State Bank of India today launched a ‘Cash Back Plus’ offer on its debit cards across the country effective August 1 and valid up to October 31, 2007, said a press release from the bank. Customers using debit cards of SBI or its associate banks during the offer period, for making payments of Rs 501 or above, will get up to 5 per cent cash back. “A customer will get a cash back of 3 per cent for purchases from Rs 501-5,000, while he will get a 4 per cent cash back on purchases ranging between Rs 5,001 and Rs 10,000 and up to 5 per cent for purchases above Rs 10,001,” said the release. Additionally, the card holders using their card for shopping for Rs 501 or more for more than 15 times during this period will also earn 20 per cent of the cash back as bonus and the first two highest spenders will win two return Air Deccan tickets each every day. The maximum amount of cash back during the period of offer will be Rs 1,000 per debit card. The amount will be credited to customer’s account automatically in 4-6 weeks after the period of offer, the release added.
