Dishman Pharma net up 14%

The Ahmedabad-based Dishman Pharmaceuticals and Chemicals Ltd has reported its consolidated PBT and PAT for the ?rst quarter of the ?scal 2007-08at Rs 23 crore and Rs 21.39 crore compared with Rs 19.58 crore and Rs 18.76 crore in the same quarter last year, an increase of 17.5 per cent and 14 per cent respectively. According to the unaudited ?nancial results, the company's net sales increased to Rs 167.95 crore (Rs 81.83 crore), an increase of 105 per cent. Exports increased by 37 per cent but margins were down by about three per cent due to the rupee appreciation and higher input costs. Meanwhile, the company's expansion of capacity, taken up at a cost of Rs 130 crore, is expected to be completed by the third quarter this year. - Our Bureau
