Mother Dairy, GCMMF hike milk prices

Mother Dairy India Ltd and Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd (GCMMF) havehiked prices of milk sold in the national capital region by Re 1 per litre.

This marks the fourth increase by the country’s two biggest liquid milk marketers over the last one-and-a-half years. Since February 2006, prices of full-cream milk containing 6 per cent fat and 9 per cent solids-not-fat have gone up from Rs 19 to Rs 23 a litre.
