Aztecsoft looking at expansion, new verticals

‘Dendrite ODC transfer cause for weak Q4’

Pune, Aug. 2 Aztecsoft, a product engineering company, which had witnessed two consecutive bad quarters, is now looking at expansion, quality clients and entering into new verticals to improve the bottomline.

Addressing presspersons, Mr Samir Bodas, President, Aztecsoft, said the poor performance was due to the transfer of the offshore delivery centre (ODC) of Dendrite and dollar depreciation. The Dendrite ODC deal was based on the BOT (build, operate an revenue by 38 per cent In Q1 of FY07-08 the topline dropped 5.1 per cent. “It saw an increase of 2 per cent in dollar terms and in the second quarter we are expecting a six to seven per cent growth in the topline and in third quarter, double digit growth in dollar term,” he said.

Mr Samir said the company was transforming itself from a product development and testing company to a service- oriented one. For this it has added two more segments, which include professional services and sustenance during the last yearIt would be reducing its focus on the start-ups. Mr Samir said it was also eyeing acquisitions in Europe and the US.
