National Aluminium Company has reported excellent results for thefirst quarter ended June 2007. The company has achieved a net profit of Rs 446.66 crore on a sales turnover of Rs 1,287.12 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2007.The company, however, had performed better during the first quarter ofthe previous fiscal. It had achieved net profit of Rs 622.30 crore on a sales turnover of Rs 1,620.82 crore in the previous year period., according to an officialrelease.In On the production front, the company achieved higher alumina production of 3,87,800 tonnes (compared to 3,58,100 tonnes) and metal production stood at in the firstquarter of previous year. The metal production was 88,550 tonnes (compared to 88,584 tonnes) achieved during the corresponding period ofthe previous fiscal. - Our Bureau
